So I am at my aunts right now and writing this. Alex has been away in the states for a week and I've just been farting around at home. Luckily Alex knows I have absolutely no life other than hanging out with him and playing video games and being the sweetie he is lent me his (brother's) wii. It lent me a few key games like Mario Kart, Kirby's Epic Yarn and My Life as a King. I can literally spent 60 hours straight playing My Life as a King, I don't know why but it's a life draining game. Very fun.

I rented a few games too and I've put down the royal life to take up a hoe and roleplay as a farmer with Harvest Moon Animal Parade. In my opinion Harvest Moon will never reach the the same enjoyability as 64. There hasn't been as many enjoyable, relaxing and life sucking farming sims since that. Animal Parade isn't 64, not at all, but it's a large improvement from Magical Melody and Save the Homeland.

Although hard to get into at first, Animal Parade quickly turns enchanting. The characters are bright and enchanting, all of them are easy subjects to fall in love with. The mechanics are easy enough, although perhaps I cheated since I used the classic controller for most of my game. It's not 64 in anyway, but it feels comfortable to play as a fan of the first few Harvest Moon games. There is a certain air to the game that makes it feel nostalgic.
